Class Descriptions

The King and the Queen

The core and the glutes work together in the golf swing to create stability and help generate power, the core also plays an integral role in stabilizing the spine and helping to alleviate low back pain. The core is not just your abdominals; to have a strong base you need to work your abdominalss, glutes, hips, lats and back muscles.  Join Briana as she teaches you key movement patterns and exercises to help improve the King and the Queen of the swing. Everyone can benefit from a strong core!

Rotational Mobility

Rotation is a key component of every successful golf swing, but do you know how to rotate safely and efficiently? Did you know that performing rotation incorrectly is also the leading cause of low back pain? Once you gain rotation you then need to strengthen in this new range to optimize power and control. This fitness class will look at how each area of the body should rotate, do you  have a friend who is not a golfer bring them along, rotation is also important for tennis players, pickleball and all racquet sports.

Shoulder Stability and Upper Body Strength

The shoulder moves in many different planes and should be worked in a way to create symmetry and prevent impingement. Upper body strength training programs often forget to include the shoulder blade and thoracic spine muscles. Have you been diagnosis with osteoporosis then this would be a great class for you, the muscles that we work with the shoulder also play a key roll in posture and spinal health.

Balance is the Basis of Success

Balance is something we should all work on and as we age it becomes even more important. Life is lived on uneven surfaces, and we should be challenging our muscles and joint receptors. You cannot move or swing quickly without stable footing under you. Balance is also affected by stiffness and lack of mobility. This class will challenge you on different surfaces and in multiple planes.

Briana is also available for private TPI Assessments, personal training plus Physical Therapy sessions. Or, if you have your own group and want to do your own private fitness class Briana can put something together for you.
